Good morning all you WoW Players. Today, I’m going to go over a Balance Druid Build that has been specifically tailored to Battleground and open world PvP. You might find some similarities to traditional PvP builds, but there are a few key differences, which I’ll run over in a second. As a general tip, the most important thing to remember while pvping in battlegrounds or open world is that you’re never fighting a set amount of opponents. You could fight 1, or you could fight 7. You never know.
Jumping right into the key talents, Moonglow is an essential pick because it essentially increases your longevity by 9% by reducing the mana cost of your key spells by 9%. This is an addition that we’ve taken solely for battlegrounds because like I said, you never know how many people you’re going to be fighting. Moonglow gives you the power to last through 2 sets of fights, if not 3. It’s a terrific talent.
Starfire is your main Nuke, and Moonfire is your main DoT, thus…we take Wrath of Cenarius. Adding on an extra 20% base damage to Starfire really, really helps, especially because it’s added in BEFORE modifiers such as spell damage.
Gale Winds is great for AoE, and that’s anothing thing that’s been added to this build compared to the one we use for Arena. In Battlegrounds, you’ll be AoEing a lot more than you would in Arena. Gale Winds rocks the house in this aspect.
Moonkin form is obvious, and most of the other talents are pretty obvious as well. I just wanted to lay out the talents we’ve taken that set this build apart from the Arena build. Cheers and have fun PvPing in World of Warcraft!
