The Best Subtlety Rogue Stunlocking Rotation

Thunderfury

Rogues in World of Warcraft are the only class that are able to keep their opponents 100% incapaciated for the entire duration of a fight. Though this doesn’t happen every time, and granted the times that it does happen are far and few between, you still have the ability. So in light of that information, today I’m going to cover the best Rogue Stunlocking Rotation for Battlegrounds and Arena PvP. This guide will allow you to get the most downtime out of your opponent during an encounter.

First: Stealth Stealth is obviously essential because your opponent won’t see you  coming, but also you’ll need it to Cheap Shot.

Second: Cheap Shot – Cheap Shot is an optimal battle starter because it gives you 2 combo points on the first move. Combo Point generation is key for stunlocking and this move certainly delivers. In order to achieve the most combo points per Cheap Shot, you’ll want to take Initiative in the Subtlety Tree.

Third: Now that we’ve got 3 Combo Points built up and they’re stunned, you’ll either want to Hemo or Sinister Strike to build to 5. They should be coming out of the Cheap Shot stun right as you hit 5 points, or just a little before.

Fourth: Now that we’ve got 5 Combo Points and they’re just now coming out of the stun, we’ll take advantage of those points by using Kidney Shot as our 5 points finisher. Boom! Stunlocked Again.

Fifth: Now we have no points, but our opponent has been successfully stunned. White damage should be kicking in here and now we want to Vanish. Once we’re stealthed, Premeditation will give 2 more points. Use that.

Sixth: While you’re still stealthed, and you’ve got 2 points on the target from Premeditation, Cheap Shot again. If you’ve taken Initiative, you’ll have 5 points again.

Seventh: Beat on your opponent with you favorite move until they become unstunned, at which point you’ll use Kidney Shot for your 5 points stun.

Eigth: The Opponent is has a 5 points kidney Shot stun now, so feel free to beat away on them with Sinister Strike or Hemo again until you reach 2 points. When they come out, use Preparation (removes Vanish Cooldown) and Cheap Shot again. You’re back up to 5 points.

Nineth: Beat on them.

Tenth: Eviscerate or Envenom. By this time they’re either dead, or you’ve got so much of an advantage that they’ll be dead soon. Cheers! World of Warcraft pvp forever!
