This stuff consists of our pets, soul shards, DoT times and a host of other things. Life for a Warlock can be hard in World of Warcraft, so I’ve taken the liberty of scrounging up the essential Warlock Addons and Mods that you can use to make your life a little easier while playing your Warlock in WoW. Check them out!

Necrosis LdC

This addon essentially manages your stones, shards and your demon summoning. Also, it has a really cool feature that notifies you by sound when one of your prerequisite states goes off. For instance, when Nightfall procs, you’ll hear a noise letting you know. This Warlock addon is also very useful for raiding, as it sends alerts to party and raid members when summoning them, casting a Soulstone, etc. It’s extremely flexible and customizable and is recommended for any serious warlock in World of Warcraft who’s already reached the level cap.

DoTimer

DoT Timer is an addon that manages and counts down your timers on damage over time spells already cast. This is useful for monitoring cooldowns active on opponents or bosses and cooldowns. This Warlock Mod also has a really cool feature that notifies others that your DoTs or crowd control is getting ready to wear off so they can be prepared when it happens. Overall, it’s a really solid WoW Addon that streamlines communication when raiding and keeps checks on important timers.

GepyLock Summon

This is a summoning mod. Players can queue themselves up to be summoned by whisper, and it automatically announces who’s been summoned for you. This simple Warlock mod streamlines the summoning process before raids or an instance crawl.

World of Warcraft Warlock Macros are hard to come by. A lot of time, you can find information on the internet about builds, pvp and raiding with an Affliction Warlock, Demonology Warlock, or Destruction Warlock, but you can never find the macros you need to help you be more efficient. Today is your lucky day! I’m going to run over the Warcraft Warlock Macros I’ve got saved in my game, plus some that have been recommended by guildies and that sort of thing. Let’s get started!

Affliction Warlock Spell Rotation Macro

This single macro will allow you to cast your Affliction Warlock Spell rotation more efficiently. With the touch of just one button, you can case Haunt and Curse of Exhaustion. This is a time saver, especially in PvP when every second counts.

/castsequence reset=target/combat/5 Haunt, Curse of Exhaustion

You can also experiment with this macro by using different combinations of spells or
by adding more spells to the cast sequence.

Maximum Healthstone Effectiveness Warlock Macro

This Macro changes your in-game armor to Demon Armor before using a healthstone, which is
useful for the +26% to healing. Anybody can see the value in this one. It has PvP and PvE
applications. Every Warlock should have this macro saved as it will save your life one
of these days.

#showtooltip Fel Healthstone
/castsequence reset=target Demon Armor(Rank 8), Fel Healthstone, Fel Armor(Rank 4)

Immolate and Incinerate Macro

This macro will make casting Immolate then Incinerate a bit easier. it casts Immolate, then Incinerates 5 times, but will lose effect if you leave combat. This macro is incredibly useful in PvP, as long as you’ve acquired your target and you can stick with it. That’s for battlegrounds, in Arena it’s actually less of a problem because you won’t lose your target as often.

#showtooltip
/castsequence [nomod] reset=target/combat/13 Immolate,Incinerate,Incinerate,Incinerate,Incinerate;[mod:shift] Incinerate; Immolate

These are just a few of the most popular World of warcraft Warlock Macros out there today. The use of Macros is a very effective tool in PvP, PvE or raiding applications. Don’t forget that you can always modify these macros to your specifications and experiment around with them. After all, that’s how these macros were made…you could be the next one to create the best Warlock Macros!

Knowing the Affliction Warlock Spell Rotation while raiding or dungeon crawling in World of Warcraft can mean a lot of things to you as a player, to your guild and to your raid group. It’s easy for any old Affliction Warlock to throw up some DoTs, but what then? What do you do when your DoTs are up? How do you know what order to cast your spells in? Are you causing maximum DPS the way you’re fighting right now. These are all questions this article intends to answers. Here is the optimal raiding and 5-man Affliction Warlock Spell Rotation

First of all, you’re going to want to get your DoTs up as quickly as possible. As of the changes in Patch 3.1, we’re now looking at a tweaked Affliction Warlock Spell Rotation as follows:

Shadow Bolt first to pull the creature. If you aren’t pulling, then don’t worry about Shadow Bolt. Haunt comes next, then Corruption. We’re starting to stack on the DoTs here and it’s extremely crucial that you refresh these when they wear off. Unstable Affliction is next, then Curse of Agony. Curse of Agony will be the last one you’ll need to refresh.

After you’ve got all of you DoTs up, you’ll need to spam shadowbolt until one needs refreshing to fill in the extra time. This spell rotation will bring optimal DPS for your affliction warlock because you’ve got DoTs ticking while spamming shadowbolt. You may want to even take some talents that buff Shadowbolt to use with the rotation as well. After all, Affliction isn’t ALL about DoTs, ust mostly…

When looking at Glyphs that would work nicely with this rotation, Glyph of Haunt, Glyph of Lifetap, and Glyph of Corruption come to mind. The Curse of Agony Glyph is also a wise choice, but I use Corruption because it’s a more used spell and recasted spell than Curse of Agony.

So there you have it. An updated Affliction Warlock Spell Rotation for all of you locks out there raiding in World of Warcraft. I hope this rotation works out for you, and we’re fortunate to have a big enough Glyph Selection that directly adds to our DPS like we do. Until next time, take care and WoW it up!

Affliction Warlock Leveling Builds are for those who dare to say no in the face of adversity. They’re for those that strive to be different while leveling up than the traditional Warlock. They’re for those that think Destruction is just “pseudo-mage” and Demonology is pansy “Hunter” stuff. Welcome to the World of Affliction Warlock Leveling. Here, we’ll discuss the optimal build and what talent you’ll need to take to be different, yet remain efficient.
Cookie Cutter Build

This build might not give you the direct damage that destruction can boast, but it makes up for it with improved survivability and special talents you can use to get out of sticky situations. For instance, we’ve taken Grim Reach to allow you to get some more spells in before the target gets to you. We’ve taken Improved Howl of Terror for those sticky situations when you’ve got more adds than you can handle. We’ve got Curse of Exhaustion for when you’re running away or…KITING (fun stuff) a mob that’s higher level than you. Just with these talents alone, you add an infiinite amount more utility than that of just slinging Shadow Bolts over and over with Destruction, or the slow leveling process of Demonology.

Siphon Life and Molten Skin are going to serve you well for another set of survivability spells. Less dying means less downtime, which means faster leveling! Dark Pact will help keep your mana pool alive and kicking, so you’ll constantly be ready for whatever comes your way. Siphon Life and Haunt provide the counter to Dark Pact by keeping your life ticking up and regenerating at a great speed.

The trick is to always let your spells do the work for you. When leveling with Affliction, don’t go blasting out Shadow Bolts. Just remain calm, place your DoTs and let your health and mana tick back up while you fight. Also, you’re going to want to use the Voidwalker for most encounter due to it’s tanking ability. Sacrifice when necessary or when you need to run. This is useful for when all of your other safety spells listed above fail or are on cooldown, which shouldn’t happen often.

Improved Corruption gives you more damage from an already efficient spell. improved Curse of Agony will grant you another bonus that’s really going to start stacking up once you get both spells slapped on the target. Continue leveling up and you’ll begin to see the kiting and survivability benefits of leveling Affliction Warlock instead of Demonology or Destruction!

In World of Warcraft, Warlocks are quite a bit different than others classes. Unlike the Mage, Warlocks have pets and have to focus on Stamina as well as Intellect. Unlike the Hunter, some of the Warlock’s pets use Mana, another uses Rage and they’re demons.

Warlocks boast some of the
most powerful spells out of any class within World of Warcraft, but they can be mighty confusing if you aren’t sure how to play them. Just like any class in WoW, Warlocks have to be played with a certain mentality in mind. If you’re Destruction, you’re playing with direct, blasting damage bolts into the targets eyes and/or skull. Afflicition is all about precisely calculated damage over time, and Demonology is for the Warlock who wants to boost the power of their enslaved minions to do their bidding. Each specialization and build for World of Warcraft Warlocks has it’s place, and it’s important that you know how to use them.

Affliction

So you’ve decided upon Affliction? If you’ve ever played a Mage, Hunter or Shaman, throw all of your previous thoughts about PvP out the window. Affliction Warlocks operate in a smooth, calculated fashion. You’re not going to be throwing around Shadowbolts and Soulfire bolts to kill your opponent. As an Affliction Warlock, you’ve chosen to slowly degrade your opponent’s lifeforce, mana or stats over time, making them weak and ultimately leading to their demise.

Affliction Pointers:

- Focus your gear on boosting your spell damage. Since your damage over time spells can’t critically strike, it’s a waste to put any gear on that increases critical strike rating.

- Buff up your Curses, Immolate, and Corruption. These are going to be your main tools. Take all of the talents you can that help these spells.

- Never forget to run. Running is one of the keys to victory when playing an Affliction Warlock. Keep in mind that since your spells are DoT (Damage over time) spells, you don’t have to be standing in one place to cast them. Set them and run away, watching your opponent’s life force drain as they try to catch you.

- Remember, you’ve got Fear. You don’t wear platemail or chainmail or even leather like other classes. Fear is one of the Affliction Warlocks biggest tools. Use it a love it, for it’ll often keep you from death while you’re waiting on your damage over time spells to do your work for you!

Destruction

Destruction is not for the calculated. Destruction doesn’t care about subtlety or sneaky behaviour. Destruction is there to demolish things. With Destruction, you’ve chosen that the best way for you to do damage is by hurling Soulfires, Chaos Bolts, and Shadow Bolts at people’s faces – and it’s not a bad choice.

Destruction Pointers:

- Unlike Affliction, Destruction depends on you being faster than your opponent. Increase the range on your Destruction spells so you can simply stand further away as you cast them. This will increase the time it’ll take for melee classes to get to you, thus allowing you to get in more damage.

- Buff up your spell damage, but more importantly, try to do everything you can to increase your critical strike rating with spells. Warlocks already have high critical damage from the talent “Ruin”, so increasing the chance to critically strike will often double your damage. Critical strike rating is more efficient for Warlocks than it is with any other class in the game. Use it.

- Use your succubus. Using the succubus pet will allow you to seduce your opponent and keep them occupied as you position yourself for another blast. Unlike Affliction, you can’t just bounce around throwing DoT spells on your target. You’ll need a position within line of sight. The succubus will achieve this for you.

Demonology

Demonology is a strange breed indeed. You’ve chosen not to focus on either DoT spells or direct damage spells. You figure that you’ve got a demon and you may as well make it kick some ass. Otherwise, what good is it doing? None!

Demonology Pointers:

- Demonology talents increase your pets effectiveness by as much as twofold and some of them enhance your pet’s abilities. Take every talent you can to get the maximum efficiency out of your pet.

- Stamina is a very important attribute for a Demonology Warlock. Since some of your Stamina gets transferred to your pet, you’re going to need a lot if you want your pet to stand up to the abuse it’s going to take. Stack up on Stamina and Intellect.

- Hide. You’ve made your pet incredibly badass. There is no need for you to take extra abuse if you don’t need to. Let your pet do some fighting while you stand in the bushes just providing support.

Today, let’s look at the Demonology tree in World of Warcraft’s Warlock class. Demonology is all about controlling your summoned creatures and enhancing them, making them and you more efficient. This spec isn’t about you doing burst damage, but more about controlling the battle and
letting your pet do your work for you. Let’s go over some of the advantages of Demonlogy and how to use the spec!

Tier 1:

Demonic Embrace is nice, as it gives you 10% more Stamina. You might be thinking “Why do I need Stamina?”. Well, not only will it make you harder to kill, but it gives you more use out of Lifetap. Warlocks basically have the unique ability to use their Health as mana if they need to. Fel Synergy will heal your pet as you do damage. This is a great talent not just because it gives you a heal, but it’s efficient because you don’t have to take time to heal seperately. Improved Healthstone can save your life and often times win battles. that 20% more effectiveness can sometimes give you that extra life you’ll need during a fight, or you can lifetap that into mana!

Tier 2:

Fel Vitality increases your pets Stamina and Intellect by 15% and increases yours by a marginal amount. It’s key that your pet have enough life and mana to persist through some attacks. The last thing you want when you’re speccing Demonology is to have your pet die. This talent gives a bit more longevity.

Tier 3:

Improved Succubus is going to make your succubus better, and that’s going to be a great thing since you’ll only be using your Succubus and Felguard during PvP. Don’t waste time putting any talents into the Imp or Voidwalker. They’re useless in PvP. Soul Link takes some of the pressure off of you as your pet takes 20% of the damage dealt to you. This is another reason you’ll need Fel Vitality. Your pet is going to be taking some extra damage to keep you alive. Fel Domination makes your Pet Summoning spells a heck of a lot faster and more efficient. This gives you the ability to change pets at a moments notice!

Tier 4:

Unholy Power gives your pets 20% more damage. Max that out. Master Summoner decreases the cast time of your summon spells and reduces the mana cost. Get ready to change pets whenever you like. It’s going to be super fast!

Tier 5:

Mana Feed keeps a constant stream of mana coming in when you drain mana from an opponenet. This is especially important if you have a player seduced by the Succubus. If she runs out of mana, that player is no longer incapacitated. Mana Feed keeps a constant stream coming to your pet, so you don’t have to worry about resting between fights.

Tier 6:

Master Demonologist is another talent here that we should take, just because it does so much. Not only does it buff up just one of your pets, it’s going to give each of them their own set of specific circumstantial abiilties, which is something that just doesn’t get any better. Demonic Empowerment does the same thing but just a little bit differently in Tier 7, grab that one too.

Tier 7:

Demonic Empowerment is a must. Also, 3 points in Demonic Knowledge will boost your spell damage.

Tier 8:

Demonic Tactics increases your spell critical strike rating. You can NEVER ever get enough of this. If you ever see spell critical strike rating, take it. Decimation makes Soul Fire a little bit faster when your targets are below 35% health, essentially giving you a means to finish off your opponent more quickly.

Tier 9:

Improved Demonic Tactics gives 30% of your crit rating to your pet. Just another instance where you won’t want to pass up this crit rating ability. Summon Felguard is going to give you another pet. The Felguard is basically an all out Fury warrior at your side. You’ll see a significant increase in damage and burst DPS with the Felguard.

Tier 10:

Demonic Pact gives you more spellpower. Take all 5 points in this.

Tier 11:

Metamorphasis allows you to transform into a demon, giving you some very very good abilities, some increased armor class, etc.

Warlocks in World of Warcraft have always been a unique class. There is nobody else out there like us Warlocks. For that, we need different leveling strategies than the other class. The
World of Warcraft Warlock Guide / Warlock Leveling Guide is designed for only Warlocks. While other classes might find these strategies useful, a Warlock will benefit the most from them.

Warlock Leveling Guide Rule 1:

Always keep a plentiful number of soul shards on you. If you’re using Shadowburn, (which is highly recommended if you want to level quickly) you never want to be caught without a Soul Shard in your bag. This can mean the different between a death (running 10 minutes back to your corpse) and pulling off that win. Remember, leveling up fast means constantly pushing the limits of how fast you can kill enemies. Luckily, Warlocks are equipped with Soul Shards that can be expended to yield surprising amounts of damage. Always keep them in your soul bag!

Warlock Leveling Guide Rule 2:

Always keep your pet out. I’ve come across multiple Warlocks that don’t use their pet because it’s “stylish” not to use them, or they just don’t like them. Look, if you’re not going to use your pet, go play a mage. Leave us Warlocks to what we do best – using our pet AND our spells to the maximum advantage. The only reason any warlock shouldn’t have a pet out is if they’re spec’d demonology and they get bonuses for sacrificing their pets. If you’re not, always use the Voidwalker. The Voidwalker is the key to remaining efficient when hunting with a Warlock. The Voidwalker will:

1) Taunt creatures and keep them from pummeling your robed butt to death
2) Provide you with an invulnerability shield if you have to run (increasing your surivivability which increase speed)
3) Take more damage than you.

The Imp and Succubus are only good in group scenarios, if you’re solo levleing up, love the Voidwalker.

Warlock Leveling Guide Rule 3:

Run away! It might sound cowardly and an unattractive way to fight, but running away is one of the Warlock’s best tools to take creatures they normally wouldn’t be able to kill. Place your damage over time spells on that target and when he comes to chase you, run away from him. By the time he catches you, you’ll have done so much damage to him that it won’t matter if he’s 4 levels higher than you.

Tip: Curse of Exhaustion works wonders when using the “running away” method as well. Any Warlock can only have one curse on the same target at one time. You’ll just have to play around with the strategy and see whether Curse of Exhaustion works well for you by slowing them down, or if you really need the extra damage from Curse of Agony.

As a general tip, always keep bandages on your character. In the Warlock’s case, they’re doubly useful. They can be used to get you some long lost health back in the middle of a fight, after a mana tap or on the verge of death. They can also be used to heal your voidwlaker. Healing isn’t just for Priests you know! Warlocks can heal too…with bandages!

Hey everybody. If you’re wanting Affliction Warlock information you’ve come to the right place. I’m gonna teach you how to tuck and roll, eat dirt and spit fire, and curse out your parents! Ok, not really. I will share some helpful insight on Affliction Warlock PvP though? Sound cool? Rad.

Affliction Warlock PvP

Affliction Warlock PvP is a different beast than any of the other builds have to deal with. Affliction takes patience and it takes precise timing of DoTs to win battles. Often times, Affliction Warlocks will just jump into the fray and expect to go toe to toe with some Warrior while they wait for their DoTs to take him down. This is really..and I mean really.. the wrong thing to do ladies and gents. To solve this misconception, I have a method that I use to beat everyone in PvP with my Affliction Warlock. Would you like to hear it? Are you sure? Ok…but it’s pretty involved. HERE IT IS! THE METHOD THAT WILL MAKE YOU UNSTOPPABLE IN AFFLICTION WARLOCK PVP!

Step 1: Cast DoTs

Step 2: Run Away.

Yes, that’s right. I know you guys don’t know me yet but I’m not one to bullshit you. I’ve won more battles that I’d like to admit by simply setting my DoTs and running away from the enemy. I mean, they’re taking damage…you’re not. This is seriously an awesome method. This method is so useful it’ll make you wanna smack your momma in the face…possibly with curse of agony. She will then proceed to try and bitch slap you back…but then you just run away.

P.S. (If she catches up to you…fear. lolzors.)

Affliction Warlock Builds

Here are some Affliction Warlock Builds for you gents. These are the two most widely used Affliction Warlock Builds at the time of this posting. They can be altered a little bit to fit your tastes, but I’d warn against altering them too much as their usability heavily depends on a central theme that these talent trees have going.

Shadow Embrace / Ruin

Ok, so with this build, the entire object is to buff your character’s DPS out as much as possible. The build gives up some utility, but it makes up for it with pure, raw dps. Cataclysm no longer has hit, so you’ve got 3 more points there (if you were spec’d before 3.1) Super duper. You’ve seen the talent tree, now let’s break down the spell cycle:

Shadow Bolt, Haunt, Corruption, Curse of Agony, Unstable Affliction, Shadow Bolt. Repeat as necessary until your target shits his or herself and runs away screaming like a small manchild.

Deep Affliction

Quite the opposite of the above build, this build focuses on just a little bit more utility than raw dps, making it a solid choice for Affliction Warlock PvP. Improved Fear, Curse of Exhaustion and Grim Reach all give you some very potent advantages over the enemy in PvP. This buid gives you the utility you can use, with the stability you need.
