Hey Marksmanship Hunters, this one’s for you. No doubt that if you’ve hit max level already, that you’ve been using your Hunter’s moves a lot already. Though, a lot of Hunters don’t take the time to analyze and find the exact rotation that will cause optimal and maximum DPS while raiding or in PvP. Today is that day my friends. Here is the Best Marksmanship Hunter DPS Rotation!

Hunter’s Mark

Serpent Sting

Chimera Shot

Aimed Shot

Arcane Shot

Steady Shot

Silencing Shot

Kill Shot

Steady shot is going to be your main spam move until you can get Arcane Shot back up. When Arcane shot pops, blow it then repeat your rotation. Also, Chimera Shot is the best DPS available to you when you’re talking one single move, so that gains priority after you’ve already set the Marksmanship Hunter Rotation. That’s it, pretty short article huh?

Oh, Hunters Mark always needs to be up for optimal DPS as well. It’s worth interrupting your rotaton to keep that bad buy pointing at the beasty.

Meta Gem:

Relentless Earthsiege Diamond

Red Hunter Gem:

Blue Hunter Gem:

Nightmare Tear (only to qualify for Meta)

Honestly, these are the best gems by color for Marksmanship Hunters, but one might consider only socketing the Delicate Cardinal Ruby since it’s by far the best gem for Hunters, but then…it’s all in what you need. You’ve got some options! See you around the bend!

Hunters, even though you’ve got your new awesome gear and all, you’re gonna have to take some time to customize the pieces. What is a hunter without some shiny gems? eh? Nothing, that’s what. Check out these beast mastery hunter gems and see if any of them strike your fancy. Also, I will sell them to you for 10,000 gold each. Just have your people call me people. As far as a Meta gem goes, Relentless Earthsiege Diamond is going to be your best bet. I mean…just look at it. That thing is so pretty it’ll make you wanna smack your momma. Whether or not you do is up to you, and if you decide to…you’re gonna have to deal with the consequences.

Red Slot: Bright Cardinal Ruby

Yellow Slot: Rigid King’s Amber, Wicked Ametrine

Blue Slot: Nightmare Tear. This guy is only used to achieve the requirement for your Meta Gem. I’d recommend putting other gems in your blue slots after you’ve achieved that qualilfier.

Beast Master Hunter. This is something that you hear a lot of nowadays. With the recent revamps to Beast Mastery, Hunters in World of Warcraft have found themselves somewhat more inclined to take care of their pet and make their pets work for them as opposed to taking Marksmanship in World of Warcraft.

A lot of Hunters will tell you that Beast Mastery is the best spec or build for WoW PvP, but they don’t tell you why or how to get the right build that’s going to let you dominate your opponents! Relax! That’s what I’m here for. Today, we’re going to go over how to spec or build your World of Warcraft Beast Mastery Hunter to be an exceptional PvP machine.

Beast Mastery:

Tier 1:

For our first Tier, we’re going to be taking Improved Aspect of the Hawk. I know what you’re probably thinking. You’re thinking, since we’re going Beast Mastery, why don’t we take the talent that increases our pet’s life? Well, it’s just not a big enough increase to do much. Improved Aspect of the Hawk however, will allow you to have a little bit faster attack speed every once in a while and it’s an invaluable talent when fighting casters as well. The more you shoot, the more push back they experience when they’re trying to fling fireballs, shadow bolts, etc your way. It’s a great talent and I’d recommend pumping 5 points into it.

Tier 2:

Focused Fire is a great talent. For sure 2 points it increases your damage by 2%, and it also boosts your pet’s critical strike chance while kill command is active by 20%. This should be fairly self explanatory but if it’s not…more critical strike chance = more damage. When you’re getting 10% crit chance per talent point, I’d like to see a situation where I wouldn’t take it. Thick Hide is another talent in the Beast Mastery Hunter’s Tier 2 I’d recommend taking. For 3 points, you’ve got 10% more armor for you from items and 20% more armor for your pet. Any melee class is going to hate you for this. It’ll give your pet a little bit more longevity during a long battle and it can often make the difference between the winner and the loser.

Tier 3:

Unleashed Fury is worthy of our 5 points here. It simply makes your pet do 15% more damage. Nothing right there right? Right. Let’s also swing over and put 1 talent point into the passive monster talent that is Aspect Mastery. Aspects are a big part of a Beast Mastery Hunter’s life in World of Warcraft, so when you can buff up four aspects all with 1 point, that’s a winner.

Tier 4:

Ferocity gives your pet an extra 10% chance to critically hit, which in turn will stack with focused fire when kill command is on (you know, the talent we took earlier). This means that your pet will always have a 10% more chance to critically strike, BUT when Kill Command is active, your pet will have an extra 30% chance. (10% from Ferocity + 105 from Focused Fire = 30%). This is not too shabby at all.

Tier 5:

Intimidation is going to give your pet a stun and a little bit extra damage, so you’re going to want to swing in and take this Tier 5 Talent. I can tell you from personal experience that having this extra stun is going to be a lifesaver in a pinch. If a caster goes to fire a shadow bolt at you (or even worse) a Parabolas, boom! Stunned. If a Druid, Priest, Shaman or Paladin goes to try and heal themselves or a teammate…stunned. It’s a great utility talent that’ll save your butt when it comes down to the wire.

Tier 6:

Tier 6 is where Beast Mastery Hunters really start to get down to business. Frenzy is a great talent and without it, sadly, Beast Mastery Hunters wouldn’t be nearly as good. Frenzy states (if you have it maxed out) that whenever your pet critically hits, the pet will gain a 30% increase to it’s attack speed for a short period of time. This is an incredibly useful talent, especially because (unlike other talents that are similar) it doesn’t limit the amount of times this can happen in a given battle or time frame. This effectively means that if your pet critically hits, it increases the pets attack speed, allowed more CRTs and then repeating the process. It can become a long, brutal chain of massive amounts of damage.

Tier 7:

Catlike Reflexes begs to be maxed out here because it gives so much dodge for just 3 points. We’re talking 3% for you and 9% for your pet for only 3 points. People spend a lot of money on enchants and gems to get this much dodge. Beast Mastery Hunters have the unique ability of getting so much for so little here. It’s an extremely efficient Talent. Bestial Wrath is going to be an amazing tool for you as well. 50% more damage and your pet can’t be stopped? Amazing. Use it and love it!

Tier 8:

Serpent’s Swiftness makes you 20% faster and makes your pet 20% faster (attack speed). If you take this into account with just your auto attack damage (white damage), then you can effectively say this adds 20% more damage for both you and your pet. Highly worthy of 5 points.

Tier 9:

Longevity, for only 3 points, reduces the most important cool downs you have. Take this talent! Cobra Strikes makes your pet crit after you attack, thus triggering Frenzy and creating that chain of damage. This is a great talent to have and it can rapidly turn the tide of any battle. The Beast Within allows you to join your pet in Bestial Wrath, making you do more damage and making you unstoppable and uncontrollable for a certain time frame. If there was ever a talent made for PvP, it’s this one.

Tier 10:

Kindred Spirits makes you pet do 20% more damage and move 10% faster. It doesn’t get better than this for 5 points.

Tier 11:

You get 4 more talent points for your pet and you can now tame pets untameable by other Hunters! Fun!

Survival is All About…Surviving!

Hunters that spec or build their character for emphasis in the Survival talent tree are often looked down upon by other players. Since It takes a special breed of player to become a survival hunter, nobody really knows what to expect. They’ve never dealt with Survival Hunters before in
groups, and they’re taken back on why you’d specialize in Survival as opposed to Beast Mastery or Marksmanship.

There are a lot of unique utility abilities and cool tricks that Survival Hunters can bring to the table. While they might not do quite as much damage as a Beast Mastery Hunter or a Hunter that’s specialized in Marksmanship, they’ll make up for it in utility and efficiency. Let’s get started taking a look at the World of Warcraft Hunter Build for WoW PvP.

Tier 1:

Right off the bat, we can see that Survival Hunters are a totally different breed. As opposed to buffing up your ranged damage, the first Tier of the tree lends itself to the Hunter’s Melee attacks. That’s new and different! Savage Strikes is a great talent an it gives a good outline as to what the Survival Hunter is all about. I’d suggest putting 2 out of 2 points in it and watching your Melee moves critically strike 20% more often! Good deal! I’d also suggest taking those other 3 points and putting them into Hawk Eye. This is going to give you a better maximum range for your ranged weapons. Never underestimate the effectiveness of standing farther away, especially with a Survival Hunter!

Tier 2:

Trap Mastery takes 3 points and it does wonders for buffing up the effectiveness of your traps. For just 3 points you get huge improvements to all of your most commonly used traps including Freezing Trap! It makes it last 30% longer, and for Hunters that are experiences in PvP, you can’t add enough time to that trap. Hunters need to be positioned correctly in order to win battles. Trap Mastery will buy you a lot of extra time. Survival Instincts is the second talent in this Tier that you should take. 2 points gets you 4% less damage done towards you, and a 4% better chance to critically strike with your specialty shots. Can you see how the survival Hunter is starting to become a lot more well rounded than Marksmanship Hunters or Beast Mastery Hunters in World of Warcraft? Keep reading. It gets better!

Tier 3:

Survivalist increases your Stamina by 10%. This is going to do wonders for you (especially because classes now have so much life due to Wrath of the Lich King), but it’s also going to help your pet. With that patch update a while back, Hunter pets now get a percentage of the bonuses to the Hunter’s Health. This is a kind of two birds with one stone talent and it’s a very very good one. Other than this, take Scatter Shot. This is just one more utility ability that Survival Hunters can pull out when danger sets in. Also, you’ll want to take Deflection (3 points) so you can get Counterattack further down in the tree.

Tier 4:

Lock and Load is a good talent, but it’s not justified to spend more than 1 talent point in it. It procs enough as is taht you’re not going to need it to proc all of the time and honestly, the 2 extra points are just not that useful.

Tier 5:

Max out all of the abilites on this Tier. You’re going to gain 30% of your total Stamina in Attack Power, a 3% better chance to critically strike with EVERY single attack you do, and the ability Counterattack. Max all of the abilities out on this Tier. They’re all very good and extremely versatile in PvP.

Tier 6:

LIghtning Reflexes, when maxed out will increase your Agility by 15%. Take it, use it, love it!

Tier 7 And Beyond:

I normally don’t do this because I’m very very picky on how I spec my character. I mean, I’ve spent countless hours developing plans and masterful speccing patterns, sharing them with friends and building an arsenal of knowledge on all of the classes trees and how to fit them together. That being said, every single talent beyond Tier 7 for a Hunter is very very good. I would max out every one of them. Literally, every one of them with help you and there are going to be no wasted points. Rejoice, Hunters are the only ones that can say “Yeah, all of my talents are amazing.” Have fun!

I really thought about it for a while and I came to this conclusion: Beast Mastery is the lazy man’s World of Warcraft build. Think about it. Why should I focus on making myself any good when I have the massive core hound that would be glad to kill all my enemies for me while I sit back and suck on the tit of Aspect of the Viper. Then, while you’re getting your nut off on your mana regain (which allows you to never stop moving and clicking) before you know it you’re 80 and have no clue how to play a Hunter without an over-powered pet. However, it is so fucking great watching your pet bend players over and anally rape them in PvP while you hide in a bush…sucking your tit of course, laughing your ass off while you lob tiny little blasts from a way over sized gun. Then you realize that playing a Beast Mastery Hunter is more than the Lazy man’s way, its the only way to play so that you have a free hand to master…… duel wielding while getting your WoW fix .

So…here is my Beast mastery Hunter build for all you guys and gals out there (which I personally would only use for leveling, NOT for end game…but that’s just me.)

Beast Mastery Hunter PvE Builds

Here’s the Mold Beast Mastery Hunter PvE

Here we go with a nice little move list to help with that dps of yours.

Serpent Sting – Steady Shot – Arcane Shot – When below 20% Kill Shot

Something also to remember is that your cool downs, with the short recharge time on them, are not just for bosses any more.

Rapid Fire – Kill Command – Bestial Wrath

Playing World of Warcraft with a solid Beast Mastery Hunter build is really a simple strategy. Try and land as much damage while controlling your pet. Also keep your pet from doing such retarded things as pulling extra mobs to come and feast on your party. You want to keep a steady eye on both you and your Pets aggression, the Omen Threat Meter addon (Curse.com) can help with that, as long as you remember whatever ridiculous thing you named your pet. (for me it was GrabbyTugTug). Though I don’t really care for Beast Master spec for PvE end game, it is nice for you and your group when your Ferocious Inspiration pops (which should be quite often when you have other skills like Cobra Strikes and Focused Fire). That’s about it…Oh! One last thing, dont forget that when your pet does decide to kill everyone, you ’ve always got your “oh fuck this” button – Feign Death. So fuck it.

Beast Mastery Hunter PvP Build

Beast Mastery Hunter PvP

Nice little move list - Remember its PvP so nothing ever goes as planned.

Serpent Sting – Steady Shot – Arcane Shot – When below 20% Kill Shot

I know its the same as PvE, sorry but the concept here is quite the same.

Alright for PvP we have a few things to remember. First, you’re a ranged fighter so keeping distance between you and your foe is key. You can achieve this in quite a few ways. First, Traps such as Freezing Trap, Frost Trap and even Snake Trap with the nice talent Entrapment. Secondly, the game was nice enough to give you Disengage which if you jump as you trigger it will launch you a nice little distance. Thirdly, Scatter Shot will help make a little gap between you and your enemy. Here is a fun little tip from my own personal PvP experience. Set your pet up somewhere on the map and then put a nice little gap in between you and your pet, and when a foe runs between you sick your pet on him. He will spend enough time trying to find you from the same direction your pet came from that by the time he realizes that your behind him he’ll be dead and the you can dance on his corpse, but not for to long…you have to get back to your tit.

Hope this helps some of you out there. Let us hear your thoughts. Post some comments…we’re lonely.
