When looking at Frost as a Death Knight Leveling in World of Warcraft, it’s important to realize what the tree is all about. If you’re wanting to level up by damaging mostly with Ranged attacks and spells, Frost is right up your alley. If you’re looking for Melee, head on over to the Blood Leveling Up Post. That being said, let’s get started.

Howling Blast and Icy Touch are two of our most damage intensive spells, and we should use them at all times if at all possible. When gearing up your Frost Death Knight while Leveling in World of Warcraft, you’re going to want to focus on Spell Damage and Crit for the most part. Obliterate, Frost Strike, and Guile of Gorefiend can have pretty massive critical strikes and a lot of your damage WILL be coming from these crits. Optimizing and gemming for critical strike rating is a must.

While leveling your Frost Death Knight in World of Warcraft, Annihilation is a pure necessity. It allows you to Obliterate without taking away all of the target’s diseases. We want to leave these on at all costs. Howling Blast is your go to move for AoE. Deathchill and Killing Machine are two key talents that are going to work extremely well with Guile of Gorefiend. As far as buffing out Killing Machine goes, you’ll want to take Icy Talons and the Improved version.

Although not absolutely necessary, Hungering Cold is a big help when forced to fight multiple enemies while leveling your Frost Death Knight in World of Warcraft. It’s gonna happen, so you may as well be equipped for it. Now…let’s talk Rotation my friends.

Frost Death Knight Rotation:

Plague Strike, Icy Touch, Blood Strike, Obliterate, Frost Strike, Icy Touch, Obliterate, Obliterate, Frost Strike.

Blood Death Knight Leveling Build

While leveling as a Blood Death Knight, you’re going to rely on melee damage for the most part so it only makes sense to optimize and build to increase melee DPS and survivability. Looking at survivability, we need to improve Death Knight Healing. This will decrease the time needed for you to regenerate after fights and also give you an edge when fighting an opponent that’s stronger than you expected.

For this, we invest in Vampiric Blood, Rune Tap and Improved Rune Tap. Though this might not seem like a lot of healing, really…anything helps. As far as using your runes to get health….ehhhh…we don’t want to do it, because we want to use them for all damage, but it’s great to have the option. Furthermore, to increase DPS, we’ve taken Veteran of the Third War, Abomination’s Might and Blood Gorged. This gives you the ever important Strength bonuses that we’re looking for while playing a Blood Death Knight.

As far as Glyphing goes, here’s what’s recommended for Blood Death Knight Leveling:

Here Are the Key Moves to Tanking as a Death Knight in World of Warcraft

Death Grip – Blood Boil – Pestilence – Plague Strike – Icy Touch - Icebound Fortitude – Frost Presence – Blood Tap

Death Knight tanking requires you to pay attention to your runes at all times to hold threat, while spewing plagues out of every hole on your body with Plague Strike and Pestilence, and taunt only when truly needed.

You may be thinking…”Well, I have a nice AoE taunt every eleven seconds or so, so where does the challenge of tanking come in? The problem is… you don’t have any range plagues so you have to make sure your enemies are close. Make sure your Death Grip is ready when the shit hits the fan ’cause it cant be spammed. If you lose aggro on a mob without a disease on it, don’t freak out just get in range and disease it with Plague Strike or Degeneration then just cast Blood Boil and watch the mob come running right back to take a bite out of your neck. One last thing Obliterate is nice only because it doesn’t consume disease so you taunt stay available.

Please remember just because you can use a two-hand weapon doesn’t mean you shouldn’t dual wield. One-handed tank weapons will truly help out your tanking ability.

I wouldn’t say there is a solid move list for PvP. It’s all kinda situational.

World of Warcraft Death Knights are very solid for PvP. They have a whole list of moves which allow them to control a single target but also the group fuck fest. Hungering Cold! Look at that, that will throw a wrench in your enemies plans. The goal is to get it and slow your enemies moves and haste while raging on them with a solid flow of moves. Like always you want to watch your runic power it is key to keeping your damage going and staying alive. So stay strong stay fast and use this hero class to its fullest.
